The Future of Crypto: Which Coins Are Worth Holding?

The world of cryptocurrency is vast, with millions of digital assets vying for attention. However, only a select few will achieve the kind of epic returns that make crypto famous. So, which cryptocurrencies are actually worth holding? Well, that depends on who you ask.

Everyone has a different approach to investing, and as the operators of one of the largest crypto YouTube channels, we often get asked about our personal portfolios. That’s why today, we’re pulling back the curtain to reveal our top crypto holdings, why we’ve chosen them, and a few promising projects we’re considering adding in the near future.

A Quick Disclaimer

Before we dive in, let’s be clear—nothing in this article is financial advice. It’s purely educational, intended to inform you about our personal crypto portfolios and investment strategies. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, and what we hold today may change as market conditions evolve.

Breaking Down the Portfolios

Currently, the top five cryptocurrencies in our portfolio make up around 85% of our total holdings. They are:

  1. Bitcoin (BTC) – 44%
  2. Ethereum (ETH) – 23%
  3. Solana (SOL) – 6%
  4. Sui (SUI) – 6%
  5. Pyth Network (PYTH) – 4%

Beyond these, we hold 14 additional cryptocurrencies that we analyze regularly. If you’re curious about the full list, you can access it through the Coin Bureau Club, where we share real-time updates, research, and exclusive market insights.

Bitcoin: The King of Crypto

Bitcoin remains our largest holding for several reasons. First, we’ve been in the crypto space for a long time, and the BTC we bought years ago has appreciated significantly. But beyond that, Bitcoin is unique—it’s digital gold, a store of value, and has the potential to become a global reserve currency.

Unlike altcoins, which face constant competition, Bitcoin has no true rival. It stands alone as a decentralized, permissionless, and highly secure asset. While we remain open to taking profits on some of our altcoin investments, Bitcoin is one cryptocurrency we plan to hold for the long haul.

Ethereum: The Backbone of DeFi

Ethereum makes up 23% of our portfolio, and for good reason. Most of the crypto ecosystem—DeFi protocols, NFTs, and stablecoins—are built on Ethereum. Despite market fluctuations and FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt), ETH remains a dominant force. We believe Ethereum’s potential is still undervalued, and in the long run, we see it reaching new all-time highs.

Solana: A Challenger to Ethereum

Solana currently accounts for just over 6% of our portfolio. It’s one of the strongest competitors to Ethereum, thanks to its high-speed transactions and user-friendly experience. Solana has also been making major strides in payments, an area that could be a game-changer once stablecoin regulations come into play.

Sui: The Future of Gaming and Web3

Sui is another strong contender, making up just under 6% of our portfolio. Built with the Move programming language (originally developed at Facebook), Sui offers unique technological advantages. It has been heavily focused on gaming, and its plans to launch a handheld gaming device indicate that GameFi could be a major narrative in the coming bull market.

Pyth Network: The Underrated Oracle Solution

Pyth Network is one of the most underappreciated projects in the space, which is why it holds a 4% share in our portfolio. Similar to Chainlink, Pyth provides high-frequency data feeds essential for DeFi applications. What sets Pyth apart is its own blockchain, Pythnet, which could eventually leverage the Pyth token for transaction fees, making it a powerful player in the oracle sector.

What’s on Our Watchlist?

While our main holdings are solid, we’re always on the lookout for promising new projects. One cryptocurrency that has caught our attention is Aave (AAVE). As the largest DeFi lending and borrowing protocol, Aave is positioning itself to integrate with Move-based blockchains like Aptos. Additionally, its work on decentralized stablecoins and social finance (SocialFi) could make it a major player in the coming years.

Final Thoughts

The crypto market is constantly evolving, and while Bitcoin remains our foundation, we strategically allocate funds to promising altcoins. Ethereum, Solana, Sui, and Pyth Network represent some of the most exciting developments in the space, while Aave and other upcoming projects remain on our radar.
